Emirates review

Hi guys, today I want to talk about my opinion on the Emirates Airlines #notsponsored

Presentation.
Emirates is an airline based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Emirates Airline has been named โ€˜Airline of the Yearโ€™ at the 2018 Air Transport Awards.

Emirates is the worldโ€™s largest international airline, with a network that spans 159 destinations in 85 countries, operating one of the worldโ€™s youngest wide-body fleets made up of Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft.

Flights I took.
I traveled return with Emirates from Paris to Dubai (8 hours) and then from Dubai to Auckland (16 hours and 25 minutes) in 2016 and 2017.

Boarding process.
Getting my boarding tickets was really easy, both in Paris and Auckland. I had my tickets printed before hand, but the staff was very helpful and kind at the front desk.

Comfort onboard.
Of course, I flew in economy class (I am not that rich to afford a 10.000$ ticket, even with a shower onboard!)
I had enough leg room. The seats were comfy, and reclining too, of course!

Meals.
I mean, it’s airplane food, we all know that it’s not a gourmet restaurant. The food was great onboard, as much as I can remember the taste of it, after a year ๐Ÿ™‚ You will have the choice of meat or vegetarian option.

Oh! and I remember that you had a little sticker where you could ask the staff to wake you up when dinner was served.

Entertainment system.
Staying entertained during a long haul flight can be quite challenging. You are stuck in a metal tube, in your seat, and there’s not much you can do. But thanks to Emirates, it won’t happen. They have great entertainment system onboard with a 10″tablet, from movies to world news.

You can also get Wi-Fi on board. How cool is that? There’s 20mo free for you if you sign it for free ๐Ÿ™‚

I have to admit, the first part of the flight (Paris-Dubai) went so fast, I slept the all time. On the other side, as expected with a long haul flight (need tips! Click here!), it was a bit long. But thank to Emirates, I loved my flight!

Toilets.
They were clean, and serviced regularly. Again, toilets. What do you want to know?

Onboard service.
The staff onboard was just so helpful and really here to make your flight as comfortable as possible. Great job Emirates!

Passenger communication.
During the flight, all the communications between the crew and the passengers are in Arabic and English. They were a bit long for me, and always interrupting the music/movie I was watching, which was a bit annoying though.

Loyalty program.
I have to say, this loyalty program is pure gold. Easy to sign in, and great rewards too. On my way back to France, I had a 9 hours stopover and thanks to the program, they offered me a room in a 4* hotel in the city center of Dubai, with breakfast! I really appreciated taking a long and hot shower after a 16 hours long flight. I even had the chance to do a 2 hours visit of the city.

Gotta say that Dubai is way too hot. I left Auckland in the middle of winter, it was -5 degrees, and landed at 5 am at 38 degrees, with all of my winter gear on!

Did you know?
The longest flight of the world is Auckland – Doha (17 hours and 40min!). Could you take it? Comment below! ๐Ÿ™‚
